Iron Fitting

A professional iron fitting is based on a combination of key performance factors, ensuring that every club is perfectly matched to your swing.

We begin by selecting the ideal clubhead. This includes evaluating the head design, size, centre of gravity, forgiveness, weight distribution, and loft. Each of these elements influences ball flight, consistency, and overall performance.

Next, we determine the most suitable shaft material—graphite or steel. This decision is based on several swing and ball flight characteristics, including swing speed, release point during the downswing, swing tempo, and preferred launch height. Matching the correct shaft to your swing is essential for maximizing both consistency and efficiency.

The following step is establishing the optimal shaft length. A correctly fitted shaft significantly increases the likelihood of striking the ball in the centre of the clubface, where maximum energy transfer occurs. We frequently see golfers playing clubs that are too long. While a longer shaft may appear to promise more distance, it is also heavier and makes it considerably more difficult to achieve consistent centre-face contact. The result is often reduced ball speed, less distance, and decreased accuracy.

The combination of the right clubhead and the right shaft is one of the most critical aspects of a professional club fitting. That is why we continuously expand our shaft selection with the latest innovations from the industry's leading manufacturers, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the newest technologies and performance developments.

Finally, we optimise the club's lie angle. Lie angle has a significant influence on the ball's initial starting direction and plays an important role in achieving consistent centre-face contact. Once the lie angle has been precisely fitted, we complete the process by selecting the ideal grip, taking into account grip model, weight, and size to provide the perfect connection between golfer and club.

Wedge Fitting

Every professional wedge fitting begins where scoring matters most—inside 40 metres.

We start by having you hit a series of 30–40 metre pitch shots, commonly referred to as finesse wedge shots. This allows us to accurately determine the ideal sole grind and bounce angle for your technique. These two elements have a significant impact on turf interaction, consistency, and short-game performance.

All wedge fittings are conducted from natural grass. Grind and bounce can only be assessed accurately when the club interacts with real turf, allowing us to evaluate how the club moves through the ground under authentic playing conditions.

Once the optimal finesse wedge has been identified, we progress to longer wedge shots. During this stage, we determine which additional wedges best complement your finesse wedge while creating the ideal distance gapping between your pitching wedge or 9-iron and the rest of your wedge setup.

Using the performance data gathered throughout the fitting process, we build a wedge configuration that is perfectly matched to your swing, playing style, and distance requirements. The result is a seamlessly integrated wedge setup that delivers greater consistency, improved versatility, and increased confidence throughout your scoring game.
